Atmospheric Support (ATMOS)

STC supports NASA Goddard’s Earth Sciences Division through the ATMOS contract, providing mission-critical expertise in atmospheric science, engineering, and data systems. ATMOS advances NASA’s ability to observe, model, and analyze Earth’s atmosphere by integrating satellite data, developing scientific software, and supporting research that improves weather forecasting, climate monitoring, and environmental decision-making.

Research, Science, and Engineering Services (RSES)

STC supports NASA’s Langley Research Center (LaRC) by delivering multidisciplinary engineering, scientific research, and technology development expertise. Our scientists and engineers advance aeronautics, space exploration, and Earth science missions through systems engineering, modeling and simulation, data analysis, and prototype development—turning innovative concepts into mission-ready solutions.

Mechanical and Composite Hardware Fabrication Support Services (MCHFSS)

STC supports NASA Langley Research Center (LaRC) by delivering precision engineering, fabrication, and integration of complex aerospace hardware. Our team provides full‐lifecycle mechanical and composite manufacturing—from design support and tooling through machining, assembly, and testing—to meet the stringent requirements of NASA’s aeronautics and spaceflight missions. We combine advanced materials expertise with rigorous quality assurance to ensure mission‐ready hardware for cutting‐edge research and exploration.

Ground Systems and Mission Operations (GSMO)

STC supports NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) in modernizing NOAA’s geostationary and space weather satellite ground systems. Our scientists and engineers lead systems design, integration and testing, satellite product validation, and stakeholder outreach for missions including GOES-R, GeoXO, SWFO, and Space Weather Next—ensuring secure, reliable, and timely delivery of environmental intelligence.

Space and Earth Science Data Analysis (SESDA)

STC supports NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) by advancing Earth and space science through data system development, scientific analysis, precision engineering, and public engagement. Our team manages critical science data archives, integrates satellite and in-situ observations, fabricates ultra-precise silicon-based X-ray mirrors for astrophysics missions, and supports community science programs like GLOBE—ensuring NASA data and technologies are accessible, accurate, and impactful for researchers, educators, and decision-makers.

Engineering Technical Support Services (ETSS)

STC supports NASA’s Armstrong Flight Research Center (AFRC) in delivering engineering and technical expertise for a wide range of flight research and test programs. Our engineers and technicians provide systems engineering, instrumentation, fabrication, and integration services, ensuring safe, innovative, and mission-ready solutions for AFRC’s experimental aircraft and technology development projects.

Research Opportunities in Space and Earth Science (ROSES) Grants

STC has been awarded numerous ROSES projects, advancing climate, atmospheric, and remote sensing science. Our work includes improving ozone, water vapor, and aerosol retrievals, studying the atmospheric impacts of the Hunga Tonga eruption, assessing the climate effects of aerosols, and planning and executing flight campaigns. Through these efforts, we demonstrate our enduring commitment to supporting NASA’s mission to advance Earth and space science for the benefit of humanity.
