Social Responsibility

At STC, social responsibility means investing in people, empowering communities, and promoting innovation for a better tomorrow. Our efforts are woven into our culture, our partnerships, and our legacy—continuing the vision of our founder, Dr. Adarsh Deepak, to serve science, society, and the next generation.

Championing Small & Diverse Businesses

As a graduate of the SBA 8(a) program in 1993, STC recognizes the power of opportunity, mentorship, and inclusive growth.

We advance small business participation in federal contracting—including small disadvantaged, women-owned, service-disabled veteran-owned, and HUBZone-certified businesses—while fostering a diverse supplier ecosystem that drives innovation and resilience.

We actively:

Partner with 8(a) firms, small disadvantaged businesses, HBCUs, and MSIs
Create opportunities for emerging businesses to compete, grow, and succeed
Champion equity through inclusive, collaborative partnerships

Through the Maryland Space Business Roundtable (MSBR), Goddard Space Flight Center Small Business Council, and the NASA Langley Contractors Steering Council, STC also helps drive regional innovation and amplifies the voices of small and minority-owned businesses in the space sector.

Expanding Access and Advancing Science & Technology
